Reflection (Final project, Bezalel 2020)
To me, nature is perceived as a deep reflection of man. In the works below, I have been mainly
observing plants, the ways in which they grow and develop. In one of the series of
paintings in this exhibition you can see the use of white paint on a black background.
What attracts me most in these paintings is the visible cluster of plants which I chose
to paint. One of the paintings in the exhibition is inspired by an image of thorns
which caught my eye, and others are inspired by chaotic images characterized by the
density of the small branches in their center. There is something in these paintings
that resembles and echoes the sight of x-ray scans. In x-ray scans, the inside is
revealed, like a journey into the depths of man. The plants are a reflection of ours as
they are a reflection of something from the human essence.
